Brachypelma Albopilosum Sacs
Hi Everyone
I currently have 2 females sitting on sacs which they both laid the same day. On previous breeding with a curly i left the sac with mum for the whole time however this time i think i will pull the sacs. They were laid on the 4th April and i was thinking of pulling them in a few weeks which would then be 5 wks. What do you guys think?
Cheers

Hi Luke
Yeah i was thinking thats what stage they would be at. Have already got the bits ready for the incubator. Ive heard people say these can have up to 800! Not too sure on that though and TBH the sacs dont look that big. Im sure with my previous sac i only had about 150. Well fingers crossed we get atleast one sac but looking ggod so far :-)

H. albopilosum were my first slings, couldn't believe how tiny they were and despite being told they are slow growers I found they were great, hardy and fairly speedy growers. I'll be interested in some more when they arrive.
Good luck with both sacs, you'll be swimming in them!

Re: Brachypelma Albopilosum Sacs
I have pulled one of the curlys egg sacs today as we were not happy with the way it was looking, and are pretty glad we have, although it is not looking good in our opinion.
there does not seem to be any black eggs but the ones that were there are clumped together, most look dry, we have put them in a humid incubator just hoping they may pull through,
take a look at the pictures below and see what you think we would really like your opinions on these too.
looking forward to your comments hoping they can cheer us up a bit.
the other sac at the moment looks better than this one did so we are going to leave that one another week.

Can see a few infertile ones and they usually don't turn out good when clumped like they are, try em anyway though, had worse looking than that end happily.

Re: Brachypelma Albopilosum Sacs
thankyou guys just keep your fingers crossed for us
we took a better look at the other sac too later last night and we pulled that one too as it was not in as good condition as we first thought although there were quite a few more eggs they seemed really dried up but no where near as bad as the first, will put pics on later of the second sac.
