OBT sling requirements
I'm getting a 2cm OBT sling tomorrow as part of a trade. I have not had any old world sp before except for my lividum. As OBT grow pretty fast and make their own web structures, would it be OK to put it straight into something cricket tub size? That would save me having to rehouse it too often as a cricket tub would hopefully last it quite a while.
Also, should I provide a hide for it to use until it webs, or just give it enough sub to burrow?
Finally, do they like it a little bit humid, or more on the dry side? I want to get its house ready tonight so it can go straight in there tomorrow.
cheers
Lisa

Re: OBT sling requirements
Hi Lisa,
Aye they are very fast growing I have 4 P.Murinus atm 2 RCF juvies, 1NCF juvie and an af RCF.
I'd say it would be ok to put into a cricket tub tbh, provide no hide they web up and burrow the day they get put in there tub lol.
I keep mine fairly dry tbh and they are thriving
Regards,
Peter.

Re: OBT sling requirements
Cricket tub will be fine, if it gets stressed you can chuck a plastic leaf etc in for it to burrow or web under/around.
Mine are kept pretty dry with a slight mist every week for slings fortnight for subs/adults.

I've put a bit of cork bark in for it.
