Nuclear Powered Sling Empty Nuclear Powered Sling

Post by Mutley.100 2009-03-22, 12:20

I got a C.Marshalli sling from Lee on Thursday . Since then it's tried to escape twice as well as doing numerous high speed laps round it's tub . On Thursday it made a dash for it when potting it up , it ran straight out its new home , off the computer desk and onto the carpet (where he stopped after a foot or so) . Today , I went to feed him , as soon as I got the top off , zoom , did exactly the same again . Needless to say , the small cricket made good on the opportunity and headed for the hills . He's safely back in his tub again , but I'm thinking of installing an airlock so he can't escape during meal times again .

If it doesn't grow out of it , he's going to go through life being called Harry/Harriet Ben Johnson Houdini .

Hmm, it's kinda cute when they're tiny, but an adult marshalli running round loose might not be so good Shocked

My A.Laeta does this, but jumps aswell as runs, quite worrying to be honest, when she's adult, gonna be a good job feeding her.

Install a feeding hatch if it really is too fast for you to cope with, or move it into something a little larger/deeper to give you more time to react.

Install these into the lids before hand and then you can drop in food items without escapees (T or prey items!)

http://www.thespidershop.co.uk/insect/product_info.php?products_id=1691

just cut the ends off place through suitably sized drilled hole and voila!
