Re: Gah Brachyssss......
This really has me stumped Selina, if it were cedarwood, it would affect your Avics and others, as there all kept together, can't be parasites as, like before, they could all be kept together.
Could just be a Mahoosive coincidence.

Not all were in my bookcase. My slings and juvis are kept in rearing boxes.

I've seen Selina's setup and it looks good to me. I can only put it down to a round of bad luck. We all have them at some point, I know I certainly have.

Re: Gah Brachyssss......
I went through a spell last year where I lost several smithi & annitha of various ages, sh** just happens sometimes methinks.
The only other comment I would make is that in my experience B auratum prefer much more moist conditions than other Brachys, it's easy to lose them if they're too dry.

I read up on the B.auratum thing and i always gave him sphagnum moss and mixed vermiculite in with the subs. In the end he just gave up with the bad moult. His bad moult was due to him choosing to moult on the top of an exo terra hide which werent too clever.
