Hi from Dublin! Empty Hi from Dublin!

Post by RaeRae 2009-06-08, 07:27

Just wanted to say hi guys.

Luke02 told me about this place so I figured joining another forum definetely couldn't hurt. (:

Currently got 10 Ts. 6 or 7 more coming in the next two weeks, another coming from a guy in uni. Also investing in a pair of scorps soon. Gotta treat myself for my approaching 21st, and treating myself means spending all my wages on damn bugs. At least I know I'm not alone in my weird little hobby when I come on places like this (:

I go by the same name on BN but I'm not as active as I should be.

Anyway, Hiiiii.

B. smithi (juv)
G. pulchripes (juv)
G. pulchra
B. Boehmi
B. albopilosum

2 juvs and the rest are slings. Also an AF H. lividum, hello pet hole and another C. fasciatum (only have a sub adult right now), 2 P. imperator, and might have a look around the shops here and see if anything catches my eye. Trying to get my hands on some MM G. rosea, a NCF and a RCF.

Nothing hugely exciting. I like Grammys and Flickys. God knows why.

I don't know if I want to go there.. Pokies.. That'd be a whole new ball park for me. Urgh.. Hrm, maybe. Is it better to start off with a sling, juv or adult for your first Poecilotheria or Psalmopoeus?

GOD, WHY. WHY AM I SO EASILY TEMPTED. Jesus Christ.

LOL they are awesome spiders imo, not too bad either..

I always say if your calm and quite confident, sensible then you would be fine with a Pokie or a Psalmo..

They are a fast growing sp so if you got a sling/juvie it would be cheaper and less frightening I guess(If your abit worried/scared about Pokies or Psalmo's)

Or if you would like a nice big one, I prefer to buy sub adults/adults really..

Totally your choice obviously, its down to personal preference.

Totally calm and confident when it comes to spiders. Not cocky, I know there's always the chance of being careless and getting bitten, that's something you have to accept if you keep Ts in my opinion. Hasn't happened yet, but I'd never rule it out.

But anyway....

GOD DAMN YOU I JUST ORDERED A P. CAMBRIDGEI SLING. ARGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGH.

Damn this hobby to hell. (: I think I'll fit in in this forum..

Buying a few slings, a juv and borrowing a MM off Peloquin over on BN. Bought from him before, lovely guy.

Thought I'd treat myself for my 21st which is coming up on July 1st and seeing as no one else I know likes spiders, I have to buy them for myself.

Listen to me trying to justify my addiction. Good god.

I've noticed. All I've achieved since joining here like 2 days ago, is being convinced to buy more spiders. I should leave but... NAH.

Thanks for all the welcome comments everyone. I feel welcome. (:
