Hello to you all :)
Hi i'm lisa,
just spotted this forum so decided to come along and join the fun!
I personally am a scorpion woman but have recently gone to the dark side of tarantula's and have started with pokies... i like to keep life interesting. Been keeping scorpions on and off for about 10 years. had a two year break.. times were a bit hard. and got back into the hobby after the hubby 'forced' me to get some more... well what could I do but agree with him lmao!
between the hubby and me we have about 50 Tarantula's and scorpions, as well as a couple of WD's , a des mex kingsnake and a hybrid texan ratsnake... with the evil attitude to match. oh and some tropical fish and a handful of stick insects. And the collection is growing all the time.
currently have several gravid scorpions, scorpio maurus palmatus, heterometrus madraspatensis and iomachus politus... hopefully at the end of this year I will see lots of bambino's
I also intend to (hopefully) breed my smeringus mesaensis and hadogenes troglodytes when they mature, but that is about 2-3 years away when they mature, but I have had great success breeding hadogenes in the past.
I will probably get around to posting the full collection at some point but it's late and my brain is tired lol
look forward to chatting with you all

kinda got into the practise with 'tarantula's with personality' with my hubby being into his earth tigers / asian species. which actually was a good learning curve to getting pokies.
but like i said, i like to keep life interesting Dont get me wrong though I have the upmost respect for these guys.

Re: Hello to you all :)
yeah i am always on the look out for the lesser seen species. unfortunately I have a problem keeping south american species because the flat is just too warm. we are a central flat and get everyones central heating warming up the place like an oven!
notice you have a website coming soon so will be interested to see what you can get hold of
