You can leave in if you wish but you will have to seal all round so that nothing can get behind it. Crickets have a habit of hiding behind them and T's will if small enough too.

[i] Hello, I leave mine in, if you use large taylor pins you can mount artificial climbing plants on the back this gives a bit of extra cover for your T, and spray the plants to give a little extra humidity when needed, as the exo,s have more than thier share of ventilation, you can use a little sealant to stop crickets from getting behind the back. watch the top as one of my girls got her foot fast in the mesh and just hung there and had t be released we have now replaced the top with clear plastic. If you really do not want the backs I wouls love them just e mail me and we can sort something out.Brachypelma and Grammostola do fine in them but watch out for any tarantulas that need high humidity as this is hard to acheve without having a sopping wet viv. Enjoy

Most of the backgrounds in mine have been chewed up and eventually removed.
