Very nice although the first is a Nhandu Chromatus check out some pics on google etc and see if you agree.
I keep these and they are very nice, quite fiesty though lol.

omg.... i was told she was a lasiodora cristata....(brazilian red and white tarantula)
she can be a bit scatty when shes nearing a shed... and shes a big lady too...
i will google it and see... i said i was a learner didnt i???
are they very much alike then??

now im totaly confused.... just googled both types, and they are both the same????!!!!???? HELP!!!!
i know im only a learner and have only kept spiders for about 9 months but i realy cant see a difference.. lol

Sorry for the late reply, we all get things wrong & learn new things all the time tbh.
That is definately Nhandu Chromatus looks 100% identical to mine.
I would post a link to show you what an adult Chromatus looks like but my laptop is playing up atm not letting me paste the link ? Neutral

thanx for that, i will be going back to the shop and telling them to get there names right... they cant be selling spiders if they dont know about them.... thats terrible.
and of cause i looked up what they told me, saw the pic and never questioned them as they are the same...
for all they knew it could of been anything??? silly people..

anyway, i defo want 2 slings from you as and when??? (cant remember there propper name lol) the pretty ones, lol

Avicularia versicolor, see i got the name right, lol i want 2 of them from you at some point if you get any..
also, how hardy are slings??? ive never had any realy young spiders, the smallest ive had is my mexican that was as big as a 50p????

I haven't had any die.. pretty hardy tbh they need high humidity and good ventilation also.

You wont find out much about the Avicularia sp Kwitara or Avicularia Braunshauseni as not many people keep them.

i hadnt better look at any more as i will want even more, lol im getting in to these t's big time, i sit and watch them for ages...
i did have a curly hair but it died after its shed, that was my fave too, he was so active... (i want another..)

oh btw my chile ate today and is back to normal, phew...

its the most ive seen her eat since ive had her...lol my mexican eats realy well and is growing quite fast she has shed about 4 times since ive had her. ive got to think about getting somthing bigger to keep them in, they arnt in the biggest of things, they are ok but i like them to have plenty of room if you know what i meen...

Ok what are they being kept in atm?
Also for a Brachypelma growing quick is quite odd lol they are notorious for being slow growers how often do you feed her?

peter, slow growers realy, she eats every 2 or 3 days, shes a very good eater...ever since ive had her shes ate well, shes shed 4 times in 3 months...
ive kept her skins too for the kids to hold and show their friends..
am i doing somthing wrong, lol lol

Ah ok thats pretty normal then lol, I reccommend wearing gloves when handling new world species moults as it can cause itching to be honest.
I haven't had problems myself but have heard of people complaining about it lol.

Its no problem at all I have heard of a few cases of people going blind from the hairs, wouldn't want your kids picking it up and rubbing their eyes now would I Smile
