emperors together

Hi all,
Have an adult emporer...not sure what sex and I will be getting another male and female (who live together).....around the same size as my one.
Is it ok to put the 3 in together I should I keep them separated......would prefer the 3 together if possible.

I kept 3 communally with no problems, just make sure they are around the same size and generally there are little or no problems.

Emperors(Pandinus Imperator) are one of the best kept in groups

My Mrs who is a bit of a scorpion expert says that introduced scorpions do not always get on . So if you put them together keep an eye on them and if they start fighting separate them

As has been said, make sure you keep a good eye on them, have them well fed with plenty of space and hiding places, also, be 100% sure of the sexes before introducing them.

what difference does the sex of the scorpions make when introducing them......excuse the ignorance

Males will kill each other over a female

Plus all females living together have been known to attack and kill males if introduced after they have been living together for a good amount of time.

there are a couple of ways but the only sure way is by checking the pectines on the underside of the scorp. The wife knows how to do it lol

Get them in a clear tub and take a clear picture from underneath and post it, people on here can sex it for you then.

This should help i hope. But don't go on the picture the best way is to count the teeth if there are 13 on each flap its femal, 12 and its male. At least i think thats right.

ok cool get a picture of each of them if you can

i've had emps together for a while, mixed results...sometimes they get on find and huddle, sometimes it's less friendly. you have to remember they are individuals and may for reasons unknown to us just take a dislike to another!

i am thinking of separating one of my emps out now, the other two have burrowed (and thus vanished), and he stays on the surface using hides. i think it'd be safest to take him out really, he obviously feels the odd one out!

in this case, i bought the 3 of them from the spidershop, and i don't know if they were kept together before in one big vat or separate. so far as i know, the other two are at least happy as they've dug in.

PS i'd go with anything Lisa says via Matt or otherwise lol
