she is here...at last!
Regalis came this morning....lovely spider.
A bit nervous unpacking her but it went OK.
She is in her tank and has hidden behind some cork bark.
How long will it be before she settles and goes climbing/exploring?
I know my snakes normally take a week or so to get used to their new surroundings

Awesome Paul
Most of my Poecilotheria and other OW are mainly active of a night so if your up late quite abit you generally see them out and about..
I'd say probably that either tonight or over the next few days she will briefly come out and climb out etc
Re: she is here...at last!
Thanks again for the prompt reply
I will post some pics when she is out and about.
Is it best to let her settle in before putting some locust/large crickets in?
And also....looking at getting another pokie for my other tank.....what would you recommend....something large
The guy I got it off said he was keeping her at 72F which seems low to me.....I have her at 80F...do you think this is a better temp for her

Your welcome mate
Great, looking forward to the pics..
Theres no harm in trying her with a cricket/ locust just try her with one and see if she takes it if not, its not hard to remove it and feed after a few days
Ruffiliata get pretty big, I've heard of some females at 9inch + they are a great Pokie.. I'm looking for some for myself atm but its not been easy finding some lol.
Or Subfusca are a stunning Pokie, although a little more pricey AF's tend to cost around £100 or so.. I got my mated AF for £130 inc postage and got a freebie Irmina juvie.
Re: she is here...at last!

No problem Paul..
As I have the heating on in my house alot, so its normally quite hot with most of my spiders I dont supply addition heat only a couple..
I have 3 AF Regalis(2 mated) and one MM on loan, kept at room temp and they have been fine tbh.
So a warm room would probably suffice really.
Re: she is here...at last!
All my Regalis are kept on thermostatted heat cable at 25c during the day, dropping to 19c at night and all are thriving
I'd leave her to settle in for about a week then try offering food, if it hasn't been eaten overnight, then remove it.
