Well after taking you advice.....got the hairdryer out and dried off the vermiculite (still have sphag to go in as well)....fitted a plant.....and stat and just waiting for temps to settle down now.....hope regalis likes his new home......
Just have to get something to shot in the other tank now.....any ideas of what I could get from the BTS?

I personally wouldn't use vermiculite, totally your choice obviously but I'd say coco fibre or even peat would probably be better than that.

For the other one, perhaps an Avicularia or Poecilotheria sp? if you can get one buy a nice Subfusca, bit more expensive but they are stunning Smile

Ive got it in there now.....is there anything I could mix with the vermiculite?
As said.....going to put some sphagnum moss in as well.

Dunno what you could mix with it probably what you want and it would be ok, I haven't used vermiculite before with any of my t's or tried mixing it with something else so maybe someone else could help you out a little more..

OK.....I will get some coir or coco fiber tomorrow and mix it in with the vermiculite and sphagnum moss.
Should be OK......I know my emp and salmon pink are not as fussy as the pokies Very Happy

I use vermiculite and spider soil (coir block) for my t's. It is handy for the ones that need extra moisture as it holds it well when you wet it but is also good for dry species as it keeps the sub dry as long as you do not wet it Very Happy
